Martha Funk works as the Community Engagement and Prevention Specialist for Gambling Support B.C. in North Eastern B.C., the traditional territory of the Dana-zaa, Sikanni, Slavey, Cree and Saulteau First Nations. She provides education and support on a community level for mental health and addictions. She utilizes the wellness wheel and encourages balance by caring for the mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional aspects of our life. Martha provides services to the mainstream as well as First Nations populations. She is a certified Level 111 Indigenous Addictions Specialist, Gambling Information Specialist, Certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Coach, Certified Post Rehab Conditioning Specialist and Registered Social worker. She serves residents of Dawson Creek, Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, Mackenzie, McLeod Lake, Hudson's Hope, Fort St. John, Fort Nelson, Moberly Lake, Doig River, Blueberry River, Half Way River, and Prophet River.
